Ram Nath Kovind elected as the 14th President of India

NDA nominee Ram Nath Kovind has won the presidential election after securing over 2/3rd of the total electoral college votes. Mr Kovind will be sworn-in as the 14th President of India on July 25. 

PM Narendra Modi congratulated Ram Nath Kovind for winning the presidential election. He tweeted: "Congratulations to Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji on being elected the President of India! Best wishes for a fruitful & inspiring tenure." 

Flowers and extra security had arrived at the former Bihar governor's home in Delhi long before the official announcement and sweets were passed around at his hometown in Uttar Pradesh. 

The counting of votes for the presidential election began at 11 am today. The contest, between the ruling NDA's Ram Nath Kovind and the Opposition's Meira Kumar, both Dalits, had seen nearly 99 per cent lawmakers and legislators cast their vote - the highest ever. Voting had taken place on July 17.

Sony TV's kid reality show, Sabse Bada Kalakaar grand finale ended on grand note. Ranbir Kapoor was their to promote his movie Jagga Jasoos on the show. And the one who has bagged the title of Sabse Bade Kalakar is 7 year old Virad Tyagi, who hails from Lucknow. The finalists along with him were Dhruv Acharya, Mahi Soni and Vrinda Gujral, all of whom were less than 10 years of age. The show has Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon and Boman Irani as the celebrity judges.

Actor Boman Irani who is enjoying his time judging Sony Entertainment Television’s Sabse Bada Kalakar is definitely a human with a heart of gold. Not just does he judge the little talent on board with the best reviews but also personally guides the kids on improvising their acts. 

Like recently, in the upcoming episode, contestant Dhruv Acharya received a lot of compliments from the judges for his mythological act but Boman Irani took special note. Boman went on stage and recollected a scene performed by Dhruv and his mentor and guided them in the correct way to enact the scene in order for viewers to catch first-hand reactions.
